This is gonna be one enchanted evening... Even if it does cost me some eye of newt and toe of frog.
Sabrina in Jughead #10 released by Archie Comics on December 2016.

Sabrina Spellman is a character who appeared in in 5 issues of the rebooted comic Jughead published by Archie Comics.

History[]

Prior to the series[]

Sabrina lived in Greendale with her aunts basement going to high school and working hard to get good grades. She and her aunts, however, are witches with complete control over actual magic. Her aunts thought school was pointless, as Sabrina could use magic to get whatever she wanted. Sabrina wanted to earn things in life and wanted it to be real, so she dropped out of high school and moved to Riverdale. However, the only job she could get "sucked," and she had to work all the time to afford her apartment, leaving no time for socializing. Additionally, she found she still suffered from all the same problems, only being a high school dropout on top of it all.[1]

Throughout the series[]

In Jughead #9, Jughead asks Sabrina out on a date while she worked for Pop Tate in a burger costume with a giant burger for a head.

In Jughead #10, Sabrina and Jughead's date doesn't go well because of Jughead's confusion over his feelings for Sabrina. The feelings are mutual, though, as Sabrina thinks good ol' Juggy's kind of a jerk, and she decides to work out her feelings by pranking the heck out of Jughead, to no avail. During her last attempt to get revenge on Jughead, Sabrina accidentally summoned a "muscly man horse."

In Jughead #11, Sabrina uses magic to prevent Jughead and Reggie Mantle from discovering her secret and magic, sending the "muscly man horse" back to his world. Later, Sabrina casts a spell on Jughead so she can somewhat reveal her entire sitution to him without him discovering about magic. Jughead then helps Sabrina out and she ultimately moves back home to live in her aunts basement again. As a reward for his help, Sabrina uses magic to give Jughead sweet dreams.

In Jughead #15, Sabrina tries to do something nice for Jughead, but it ends up creating a comedy of errors in which he's the most desired bachelor in town.

In Jughead #16, Sabrina works with Jughead, Reggie, and Archie to undo her spell, returning everyone back to normal.

  • Magic: Sabrina is a witch with complete control over actual magic. Sabrina can cast spells, often written in iambic pentameter or as a rhyming couplet, to influence others or the world around her. She can also brew potions to achieve other magical feats similar to the effects of a spell. According to Salem, magic can get a little funky in the daytime.[2] Thus at night, Sabrina is at full power.[3]

Weaknesses[]

  • Stress: Sabrina claimed that all the stress she'd been under caused a decline in her magic skills, to the extent she couldn't magic up a solution to her current problems. She was even surprised the magic she used on Jughead even worked.[1]
