After Josh tells Sabrina that he loves her, she gets an unexpected surprise when she tries to proclaim her love to him: whenever she tries to say those three words to him, she uncontrollably says it in the voice of various cartoon characters, convincing Josh that she doesn't care for him.
When Sabrina thinks her problem has to do with her magic, she goes to see the “Love Doctor” in the Other Realm, only to find out it has to do with keeping her witchcraft a secret from Josh. After conferring with her aunts, Sabrina decides that the only way she won’t have a problem proclaiming her love would be to let Josh know she is a witch. However, she remembers that if she tells him, she'll be stripped of her magic and cast out, deciding to do magic around Josh so that he figures it out for himself.
Meanwhile, Morgan tries to pit boss Hilda and professor Zelda against one another so she won’t have to worry about working at the coffee house or taking her midterm.
Harvey once again mentions the time that Sabrina made him pregnant in the Season 2 episode "Rumor Mill" and also references when he was turned into a puppy in the Season 3 episode "Sabrina, the Matchmaker." For the record, it was Amanda who turned him into a puppy.
The rule that witches will be stripped of their magic and cast out if they tell a mortal they're a witch is once again mentioned, calling back to Sabrina Goes to Rome and "Sabrina, the Matchmaker." However, in both those cases, the rule was stated to be that the witch loses her powers only if the mortal she tells then tells another mortal.
The Love Doctor is portrayed by R&B singer Usher.
When Sabrina turns into a cartoon version of herself, she says "What a revolting development", which was a catchphrase of Daffy Duck.
