Music group Eden's Crush performs in the fifth season finale, which finds Sabrina and Josh hosting a singles night at the coffee house. The idea is hatched when Sabrina realizes that many people who come to the cafe look lonely, and before she can say hocus-pocus, she and Josh have planned the event. But things go haywire when Josh's friend stands Roxie up, triggering an argument between Josh and Sabrina.
Meanwhile, Hilda learns that she and everyone else who had been involved in Salem's attempt at world conquest has been pardoned, except Salem himself, relieving her of the responsibility of having to care for him. He's sent to an illegal Other Realm hard-labor camp disguised as a normal home. After realizing how much they miss Salem, Hilda and Zelda successfully manage to bring him back home.
Harvey also drops by while Sabrina uses a spell to "Give a Lonely Girl Confidence to Ask a Guy Out" and a customer named Pam asks him out.
It's revealed that Salem's attempt at conquering the Mortal Realm is known as "the Witch Water Scandal."
After two seasons, Sabrina and Josh finally begin a relationship.
Harvey makes an appearance in the episode. He will officially return to the main cast in next season.
In the scene where Hilda and Zelda are sorting through Salem's stuff, a box of his Catopia products from Lost at 'C' can be seen in the background.
While trying to flirt with a girl in the hall, Miles mentions having watched an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space 9 involving the Borg. The Borg only appeared in the pilot episode in a flashback in the first few minutes of the episode. This episode of Sabrina actually aired almost two years after DS9 concluded.
Hilda was pardoned by the witches council and no longer to take care of Salem. In the end Hilda and Zelda decided to keep him full time since he is part of the family.
