List of species featured in Archie Comics Sabrina the Teenage Witch, the 1996 TV series, and the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Known Species[]

  • Angel: A species of supernatural being, resembling humans with a pair of white, feathered wings.
  • Deities: Supremely powerful beings who have control over a certain aspect of the world's natural elements.
  • Dragon: Mystical creatures that are mainly used for food or thier skin in The Other Realm, which are breifly mentioned in the series. They are commnly covered with green or red scales and can breathe fire. They have a tail and sharp claws. Thier skin can also be used to cover a pen.
  • Familiar: An impish animal that helps perform small malicious errands. In the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, familiars are described as goblins who have taken on the shape of animals to better serve their witch masters.
  • Genie: A species of magical beings who normally grant wishes.
  • Merpeople: A magical species that are half-human and half fish. Females are referred to as mermaids, while males are referred to as mermen.
  • Mortal: Ordinary humans with no supernatural powers.
  • Troll: Mischievous, magical creatures that have a reputation for tricking mortals into deals and contracts for their own gain. Trolls often live in secluded places such as towers or under bridges. The most notable troll in the series was Roland, whom constantly schemed to get Sabrina to love him; often using some kind of magical trap or trick.
  • Unicorn: Mystical creatures that have been mentioned briefly in the series and movies. They are a key ingredient in Zelda's candy corn. It is noted that unicorn essence can be fatal to mortals in large quantities. It has also been implied that Unicorns are sentient beings when Salem stated that unlike merpeople, unicorns decide to hide themselves from mortals. In "Rumor Mill ," Dashiell Calzone recalls he accidentally turned his sister into a unicorn with a rumor. In "Murder on the Halloween Express ," Sabrina Spellman accidentally murdered Josh when she handed him a juice box with unicorn essence on it. Unicorn essence doesn't necessarily need to be ingested to be fatal, it can also be absorbed through the skin. In "Sabrina Down Under," Unicorns were mentioned by Salem when telling Barnaby that merpeople should hide from mortals.
  • Vampire: Supernatural beings from The Other Realm who feast on the blood of mortals.
  • Witch: Supernatural beings who are born with the power to affect change with witchcraft.
  • Witch Hunter: A mortal who is born with a witch hunting gene.
